Back to Nisemonogatari, this episode starts after Araragi and Kanbaru finish cleaning Kanbaru’s room, after some fun and games Araragi meets a strange man called Kaiki.

the guy is very weird and speaks even weirder words, and after some chit chatting he just leaves.

in his way back Araragi speaks to his girlfriend ( Senjougahara ) and she in all her jealousy starts asking questions to about how many girls he’s seen today.

after some talking Senjougahara Araragi mentions Kaiki and then she suddenly snaps, after a cut we get the same scene from the beginning of the anime ( see I told you things will be explained ).

aparently Senjougahara wants to protect Araragi from Kaiki by kidnapping him, she starts explaining what Kaiki is and why she hates him, I will not go into details for the sake of spoilers.

after one unexpected call from her sister everything changes, Araragi breaks his chains ( apparently he is able to break them easily but he just liked to play prisoner ).

and that’s its for episode 3.

in episode 4

We see Araragi in his house talking to both his sisters, mysteriously Hanekawa is there too ( I love the new haircut!) and they’re discussing about some issues that the fire sisters are facing.

After some talking with Hanekawa he figures that his sisters were looking for some evil curse going on in their school but apart from uncovering that something is wrong not much progress happens.

Araragi decides to take a bath and while thinking in the tub Shinobu appears from his shadow.

Some talking with shinobu after ( more like 3/4 of the episode of fan service with a lot of plot thrown in there ) he discovers the real problem affecting his sister, some bee related problem that includes some insufferable fever and eventually death.

the episode ends again on a cliffhanger. and now we wait for the next episode.

the series is turning to be a great one, though the weekly waits are making it very hard to follow the story without rewatching the previous episodes before the new one, still it would make a great series to own in DVD or Blu-ray.

stay tuned for another series on the Winter 2012 watch list “Listen to me I’m your father!”

we get to have fun on Nadeko’s house

It’s been a crazy week with all the SOPA PIPA and other stuff, also the Megaupload shutdown and multiple file hosting companies going under getting anime from fansubs its going to be hard for those without torrent access.

so now I recommend a subscription to a crunchyroll premium membership, not only it supports the original authors you get to see anime 1 hour after it airs in Japan.

and we’re back with Nisemonogatari, Second episode ( third already but homework and stuff prevents me from watching it ) we get to have fun on Nadeko’s house, who is Nadeko? she is the snake girl from the first season who apparently has this crush on Araragi since she was little.

unfortunately Nadeko’s attempt to make Araragi fall for her ( like playing Twister ) were rendered useless by the arrival of her mom.

after that incident Araragi decides to go visit Kanbaru to help her clean her room then everything turns into fanservice, Araragi walks in and finds a naked Kanbaru depressed about a little incident with her grandmother, after some talking they start to clean the mess.

much like the first episode there’s not much going on in here but from what I saw on the first half of the third episode all that is going to change soon, so don’t give up on this series it will get awesome like Bakemonogatari did.

help the internet blackout protest against SOPA and protect IP.

I know my website has like 60 visitors per day, also i ‘m not American, Still the SOPA law could destroy the internet as we know it and I want to take part in this protest by taking down the site the day of tomorrow (January 18), while my blog is not the most readed page on the net I believe that the more sites in protest the merrier.

I would like to ask other blog owners, readers and websites to join the cause like many big websites are doing rigth now.

for those with WordPress blogs there’s the SOPA plugin wich will do it automatically.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sopa-blackout-plugin/

you can also download it from the dashboard of your wordpress site.

for blogger or other platforms I´m sure there’s a way to shut down the site for the day.

remember that the more sites protesting the better chances we have of destroying this law.

Yeah! late to the party, While the Blog Carnival has ended I would still like to write about how I view my anime.

Yeah! late to the party, While the Blog Carnival has ended I would still like to write about how I view my anime.

now a 10/10 anime is something subjective, first of all I want to say that most users ( myself included sometimes ) rate the shows in the following manner:

1/5 if I didn’t like the show and 5/5 if I enjoyed, assuming a 1 to 5 star rating that is common on most sites.

the problem with that is that most users never vote in the range from 2 to 4 starts, either it sucks or it rocks making scores extremely subjective.

also the score will depend on the users genre of interest.

if I like action anime I would probably give it a higher score than a romantic comedy one

now that is unacceptable for reviews, so in most professional reviews the select someone who likes the genre enough to give a critique instead of just bashing on everything.

In my case, I like most of the genres so I try to be fair on all my reviews using the following guide:

Animation
Story
Characters
Ending

but instead of comparing different anime I view them individually since you cant compare production value between genres and /or companies ( Example: Kyoani vs. Toei ) in my case I judge the art style and animation according to the needs of the show.

Animation / art:

one example of a 10/10 in animation is Clannad and Clannad AS, the animation in here is really well done ( its Kyoany DUH!) fluid motions, consistency on the drawings and since it’s a kind of slow show without much action everything is really clear.

another one is puella magi magika madoka , this time the animation is completely different, its not that fluid and sometimes characters look weird , yet because this is an action anime and those scenes are really fast you barely notice, also the art direction compensates those errors.

Story :

this time I’m going to compare K-on”! to Seitokai no Ichizon.

K-on! and Seitokai are both slice of life anime but have a very different approach for the story.

in the case of K-on! there’s a goal in the anime, to become a band and play in a big stage, while on seitokai there’s not much plot going on.

clearly while both offer great comedy, cute characters and nice visuals K-on! in the story area, and while you don’t need a story to make a good comedy anime a good story can make a difference for some people.

Characters:

A character can make of break a story, sometimes the character feels unreal or never reacts like you think it should and these kind of things tend to break the experience.

one anime with 10/10 in the characters is Full Metal Alchemist (2009), the way the characters react and interact with everything makes the world come alive.

one anime with forgettable characters is ( IMO ) No. 6.

Ending:

this is very important since the whole experience leads to this point and if it does not deliver then everything will be for nothing. now this section is completely subjective so I tend to not be to harsh on here. but there’s some serious offenders like School Rumble witch ended in a way that even people who read the manga had a face of disgust and confusion.

Overall:

the most important part is the average of the full experience, for me a 10/10 anime gets a 10 in all those categories and if it was enjoyable. like I said its best to not compare different genres because they tend to have very different approaches and production values.

still the most important thing its to enjoy the series that makes it a 10/10 for that specific person.

now a list of some Anime I think deserves a 10/10:

Haruhi series
K-on!
Fullmetal Panic Fumofu
Fullmetal Panic TSR
Fullmetal Alchemist
Fullmetal Alchemist (2009)
Clannad and Clannad AS
Kaiji
Bakemonogatari
Puella Magi Magica Madoka
serial experiments Lain

and many more but the list would go on for like 4 pages XD.

sorry if I made no sense in some parts, I just couldn’t express everything on words , also go check the real Blog Carnival Participants :

Sonic Generations is a platforming game released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC via Steam.
check out the review of this great game.

Sonic Generations is a platforming game released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC via Steam. and is one of the best Sonic games in all time.

Story:

its Sonic’s birthday party and all of his friends are there to celebrate when a mysterious monster appears and starts kidnaping everyone including sonic.

in a familiar place in the past Sonic is running through a stage when the same monster appears and starts destroying the zone.

i said Sonic twice you say? that’s because in this game you get to play using 2 Sonics in one epic adventure through time to restore the time space continuum.
how do you do it? you run as fast as possible through stages from the past till the present where you will encounter monsters from that time period too.

Gameplay 8/10:

the gameplay this time is separated in 2 different kinds ( like most modern sonic games ) this time instead of a werehog ( thank god its gone) you play as classic sonic and modern sonic.

Classic Sonic works pretty much like sonic from the genesis era, to be more precise its like a mix of sonic CD and sonic & knuckles.
the stage works like classic 2D side scrolling games, this sections have really well done platforming action and the modern levels are greatly adapted to its 2D gameplay.

On the modern Sonic side we see the next-gen sonic gameplay ( the one from Sonic unleashed daytime stages) in wich speed and quick reactions are key to get the best times in the stage, that combines with refined controls and great level designs makes this Modern gameplay far better than its Unleashed form ( wich was great). And the classic 2D stages are graciously adapted in 3D.

All stages ( classic & modern) have multiple paths where you can run, making every run different and depending on wich section you run into you may save some seconds or gain a lot more.

Music: 10/10

Taking music from virtually every single Sonic game ever made Sonic Generations have one of the best soundtracks in the entire series.
all the stages have 2 versions of its original music remixed, one for classic Sonic and one for the modern one.

if the remixes are not your thing ( classic City escape mix is awesome ) you can unlock tons of songs and are able to select the music for each and every stage available.

Graphics: 9/10:

Game looks great, having played the Pc version on a Nvidia 8800GTX, the graphics were crisp and smooth in 1080p @ 60fps while console version run at 720p @ 30fps, still a very solid game with great graphics, there’s no slowdowns ( there’s some specific portions in the pc version that causes slowdown probably a port issue but these sections are pretty short and wont affect gameplay in that section).

The Hedgehog engine truly shines in the illumination and colorful worlds of Sonic’s present past and beyond.

Overall 8/10:

one of the best Sonic Games ever, a great soundtrack, great gameplay and great graphics makes this a must buy for Sonic fans.

you can get the pc version for $30 in steam.

Nisemonogatari is the long awaited sequel to Bakemonogatari, find out about it here.

So this is the first series on the winter season I’m going to watch Nisemonogatari.
Nisemonogatari is a sequel to an excellent anime called Bakemonogatari, now this is not a light series, you have to pay attention and most of the time you wont get everything at first ( in fact after watching this episode i still have some questions about what happened between series but that will be explained later i think).

Anyway this is also my first anime i watch in a Crunchyroll simulcast since i got a free trial wich you should try, since im not in my computer i will also use some screen caps I found on the net, starting next week will be my own again.

this part made no sense yet i think will be explained a lot later.

The story is about Araragi a guy who is/ used to be a vampire, and his little harem of girls he helped overcome some curses ( not a harem in the definition but there’s only girls in there so yeah).
the first episode of Nisemonogatari makes no sense if you didn’t watch Bakemonogatari ( and a lot is not even explained for those who watched ) making it a bit difficult for newcomers to endure it, there’s some pretty funny stuff in the episode but still a bland introduction.

All of the past season characteristics are intact the random color scenes, the static scenes with a lot of talking, the awesome animated scenes and a visual clarity rarely seen on anime ( seriously even at 720p streamed it looked gorgeous) the lighting is awesome and knowing Shaft the Blu-rays are going to be much better since they always add stuff.

weird lolicon scene #2

To make long story short: you should watch Bakemonogatari first if you want to watch and understand most of Nisemonogatari, but it looks like its going to be as great as the first season.

and now the trailer (slighty NSFW):

so this series with aparently no plot turned out to be a really good comedy shows and some romance throw in there.

Anyway I’m back blogging now but this time I will only review series I have watched completely or one or two series airing in that moment.

anyway for the first post in months here’s the review:
her
Working! ( season 1):

Plot:

so this series with aparently no plot turned out to be a really good comedy shows and some romance throw in there.
the story follows takanashi a guy who loves small and cute things that starts working in a family restaurant full of weird people.

thats the whole story there’s not much into it but there’s some side plot ( wich then became the main plot) about the romance between Takanashi and Inami a girl who has androphobia.

Characters:

with a really varied cast of characters this is where Working shines best Takanashi’s obsesion with cute things and Inami’s fear of men makes this thing interesting.

other charaters include Popura a small girl yet older than Takanashi that hates being called small ( wich Takanashi does anyway).
the manager who never works, Souma the guy that knows everyones secret, Satou and Todoroki all with unique personalities make this show really interesting.

Overall:

Overall the series is really entretaining and has good production value great moments and some really well written characters.

This series has a like 35 main characters all which are awesome and I hope they have all unique personalities, the first episode introduces some of them ( hint : they are all students) in the form of P.E class in that in order to win they must be able to touch the teaches ( who is the best character ever, I love the character design, voice and personality).

anyway the characters range from girls with gigantic breast to more normal ones ( in fact I find kind of disgusting the size of some breast in the show ) from the guys side there’s a ninja, some fat guy and a robot ( lolwut) a curry loaded Indian and a poring?.

anyway the backstory is not very clear and I hope that the next episodes help me understand it.

this episode is all about the first batch of characters ( which are too many to be able to name and remember them ) still its pretty funny action packed and with a very interesting backstory and I expect it to be even better.

Fall 2011 anime season is now live and the second episode of Ika Musume 2 has aired, but does it keep its expectations?.

Part 1

the episode starts with Ika going to school to try and get the kids to follow her, which she achieves and on the road to victory she is confronted by a group of kids playing soccer.

Ika decides to take part in a match to try and get those kids to follow her, the problem? Ika sucks at sports and get beaten down.

while there’s some funny moments during this part nothing memorable happened, the goalkeeper part was awesome but lasted about 5 seconds so yeah…

after the kids feel sorry for Ika they let her score a goal after which Ika regained her spirit.

after the match the teacher delivers a fatal blow and all kids leave Ika for a bag of ice cream.

Part 2

the girls at Lemon beach club notice that there’s little female customers and arrive at the conclusion that it could be because there’s no guys serving. to address this they dressed Nagisa like a guy.

the plan is a success and a lot of girls start going to the beach club, also Ika feels threatened because “Mr. Nagisa” is not afraid of her.

after that Ayumu arrives to help the beach club and to overrun her shyness. to help her Chizuru gives her some pointy knuckles and a maid outfit.

doing this both Nagisa and Ayumu realized that unless they overcome these challenges by themselves and not on “another” ones shoes it wont be real.

Part 3

this was the best part of this episode, we find out that Ika can control how much she weights by using the bracelets in her arm, this is of course so she can control her strength and also use her tentacles better.

at one point they find out she can be as light as 50 grams making her so light that a fan blowed her around.

using that idea Takeru tells Ika to try flying , deciding to conquer air, earth and sea she jumped from the roof and used her tentacles to fly!

everything was going great but the a bird snatches her away, why she didn’t make herself weight more so the bird could drop her is beyond my intelligence

anyway Ika returns all beaten up to the Beach house next day and Chizuru which is jealous of Ika’s bracelet tries to take it of making Ika Weight 20,000 Kg and fall to the bottom of the earth.

poor Ika-Chan.

anyway this episode had its moments but I expected better things, I hope the next episode will be better.

Miura looks to be a good person and wants to make things easier for Mashiro and Takagi but his enthusiasm may be too much for them to handle or maybe is the idea of someone else taking care of them, anyway they have an awesome goodbye from hatori and then everything started moving.

^this scene has so much power!!

then we are introduced the new team that will help Ashirogi Muto create their manga (from right to left ) Ogawa, Kato and Takama.

the Team shows lot of initiative and Ogawa who is a professional assistant starts to set the workflow that will be used from that point on.

now things start to get interesting!.

and lastly we are shown the New Year’s party in which they get to know their fellow Manga artist, Noting much happened here so I’ll leave it like this.

Anyway the show started strong and I hope it can continue like this, great story and great writing, while the animation sometimes look weird the art style and manga drawings are great.

Great show about Manga.
