Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters

You have read about Shultzz-sempai adicction to Minecraft, right? Well I have an adicction of my own and it involves moeconomics. Of course im talking of Reccetear! Well thw creators of that game Easy Game Station [or more commonly known as Ys] has just released a new game called Chantelise: A Tale of Two Sisters. BTW, this review was supposed be posted the day the game came out, but I got so hooked on it that I completely forgot about posting this, it’s a GOOD game.
If you remember Reccetear was the combined names of the two principal characters of that game [Reccete and Tear], this new game is called Chantelise, a combination of the two protagonist names Chante and Elise. Lets talk about the characters in this game and the plot.

“Five years ago, a witch’s curse beneath the red moon turned Chante into a fairy. Now she and her sister Elise search for a way to transform her back into a human, and in their travels they come across a particular town, which is home to a number of nearby ruins, as well as a peculiar shopkeeper named Aira, and a strange, mercurial fortune-teller who calls herself Elma. Could this place hold the key to returning Chante to normal? Or will it lead to more answers than our two sisters ever wanted to know?…”

Chante~

She’s the selfish, strong worded big sister who was transformed into a fairy for wandering into the forest when her mother explicitly told her not to. Sort of tsundere with her little sister and the tsukkomi of the duo. With her fairy for she gained the powers of the elements and the ability to use them like magic, but for using this she needs to collect orbs that some enemies and chests have on the dungeons. You can combine different elements, and depending on what order you collected the orbs, you can create a bunch of different magic spells.

Elise~

She’s the little sister, a little more calm minded and rather clumsy, obviously the boke of the duo. Onthe bright-side she’s a real good swordsman [woman, whatever]; she’s easy to control and you can do a wide variety of combos depending on what item you are equipped with. One interesting aspect is that you dont gain levels with Elise, instead you can upgade her status points finding or buying better and stronger weapons, also you improve your HP by buying bottles of a special potion. Gauntlets raise her attack, shields raise her defense, magic charms give Elise stronger magic resistances and so on.

Aira~

She’s a calm and gentle woman that you find [or save if you want to be more specific] in the first dungeon, after that you find out that she runs a item shop and after hearing the two sisters history, she let’s her live with her. [I would have sworn that she's Recette if not for the blue eyes...]

Let’s talk about the gameplay
